Carpira Model Viewer

Privacy Policy

Effective August 5, 2026 · Last updated August 5, 2026

This policy explains what Carpira Design Group ("Carpira," "we," "us") collects when you use Carpira Model Viewer at app.carpira.com, why we collect it, and who else handles it.

It covers the app only. It does not cover our website at carpira.com, or our work with you as your architect.

What we collect

Your email address. You give it to us when we add you to a project, and you type it in to sign in. It is how we know who you are — there is no password.

A record of when you sign in. Handled by our sign-in provider so we can keep your session going and stop people guessing codes.

A record of which projects you open. When you open a project we store your user ID, the project, and the date and time. This tells us that you have seen what we sent you.

Basic technical information that any website receives — your browser type and your general region, from your internet connection. We do not use this to build a profile of you.

A record of how you use the viewer. When you are signed in and open a model, we record which model you opened, which tools you used — walking through the model, changing floors, cutting a section, measuring, searching, and switching layers — when you did it, and roughly how long the viewer stayed open. We never record what you search for — only that the search tool was used. This is tied to your account and is visible only to Carpira. We use it for one thing: to understand whether the viewer is actually helpful. It is not used to build a profile of you, and it is covered by the same access and deletion rights described below.

That is all. We do not ask for your phone number, your address, or payment details in this app.

What we do not do

Why we collect it

Who else handles your information

We use a small number of service providers to run the app. Each receives only what it needs to do its job, and none of them may use your information for their own purposes.

We can tell you which providers we currently use on request. Write to info@carpira.com.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or in connection with a sale or reorganisation of our business.

How model files are handled

To display a model in a browser, the file has to be converted into a browser-friendly format. That is done by Autodesk® Platform Services, provided by Autodesk, Inc. When your model is processed there, Autodesk handles it under the Autodesk Privacy Statement, available at autodesk.com. Autodesk may use that content when asked or consented to, in connection with providing and improving their products and services, and where required for legal obligations or investigations.

Your personal information is deliberately kept out of that system. Model files are stored under anonymous reference codes. Your name, email address and the address of the property are not attached to them and are not sent to Autodesk. That separation is built into how the app works, not just a policy.

Please do not put personal information into a model or a file you send us for display.

How long we keep it

Ask us and we will delete what we are not required to keep.

Your choices

You can ask us to:

Email info@carpira.com and we will respond within the time the law allows. We will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act gives you these rights, and the right to know what we collect and who we share it with — set out above. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. You may use an authorised agent to make a request.

Children

The app is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Security

Access to your project is restricted at the database level, so one client cannot see another client's projects even if they know the address. Sign-in is by one-time link and code — there are no passwords to be stolen. Model files are stored privately and are not publicly downloadable.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will tell you as the law requires.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If a change is significant, we will ask you to accept it the next time you sign in.
